Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mbabane Swallows are on the verge of reuniting with their legendary striker and former Nsingizini Hotspurs physical trainer Siza ‘King Pele’ Dlamini ahead of the MTN Premier League games resumption next Wednesday.
The former Jomo Cosmos marksman and assistant coach is set to assume the physical trainer position after the club recently parted ways with Siyabonga Bhembe.
The former Barberton City Stars coach is expected to work in the new-look technical bench that will be headed by former Sihlangu Semnikati assistant coach Caleb Ngwenya,Dlamini is said to have amicably left Nsingizini Hotspurs yesterday afternoon with an intention to join the red and white glamour side.
He recently helped the Shiselweni-based side win the inaugural Momo cup, where he was part of the Gerard Phiri-led technical bench.
Dlamini could neither deny nor confirm the news when reached for comment.
“I cannot say much on the issue but talks are still ongoing between me and Swallows,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nsingizini Hotspurs marketing and communications Manager Mphikeleli Dlamini confirmed Dlamini’s departure.
“Yes, Siza has submitted an appreciation letter to the club’s management committee chairperson, which indicates his desire to leave the club. At Nsingizini Hotspurs FC, we do not stand in the way of a staff member or even a player who wishes to leave the club. The club has given him the greenlight to leave,” he said.
The club further wished the former Sihlangu Semnikati striker the best of luck in his future endeavours.
“Siza is a professional. We value his contributions. He proved to be one of the greatest assets of the team ever since he joined us when we were still campaigning in the national division.
On behalf of the club president, management commitment and all our stakeholders, we wish Siza the best of luck in his new club.” Dlamini was previously part of the Swallows technical bench during the 2019/20 season under the leadership of Zambian strategist Honour Janza.
