Africa-Press – Eswatini. ESWATINI is safe from the tropical cyclone Butsirai, which has caused damage in Madagascar this past weekend.
Eswatini Meteorological Services Senior Meteorological Officer Dumsani Sithole had reported last Wednesday that the country might experience extreme rainfall this week as a result of cyclone Butsirai.
However, over the days, as the cyclone changed its formation, its cloud also moved away from the country, leaving it free from the heavy downpour that was predicted.
As a result, this week is predicted to be sunny becoming warm and hot in the Lowveld.
Light rains are expected today only while temperatures will range between 15/30 degrees Celsius.
This follows heavy rains that were experienced on Friday morning while light ones were experienced throughout the weekend.
However, the heavy rains, ccording to the national disaster management agency (NDMA) and the Meteorological Services, had nothing to do with the tropical cyclone.
Butsirai is the second named system of the 2021 to 2022 season for the South-West Indian Ocean domain.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast sourced from Accu Weather Service indicates that the week’s temperatures will be between 14/34 degrees Celsius. Thursday is predicted to be the hottest day of the week.
Tomorrow it will be partly cloudy and warm to hot in the Lowveld becoming clear in the evening.
Maximum temperatures tomorrow will be higher than today, as they will be between 14/32 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday it will be mostly sunny with clouds patches. Temperatures will be between 15/33 degrees Celsius.
On Thursday it will be sunny and hot, becoming partly cloudy in the evening.
