SADC reiterates calls for national dialogue
SADC reiterates calls for national dialogue

Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Extraordinary SADC Troika Summit has urged the government of Eswatini to urgently initiate the process of the national dialogue.

This is according to a communique issued on Tuesday after the summit. The Summit further urged all stakeholders to remain calm and participate peacefully in the national dialogue.

The summit also condemned the killing of people and destruction of property in Eswatini and further reiterated SADC’s condemnation of the killing of prominent human rights lawyer and political activist Thulani

Maseko.

They urged the government to conduct a swift, transparent, and comprehensive investigation into Maseko’s death. The summit was attended by Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini who represented His Majesty King Mswati III and other Heads of State from across the SADC region.
