Africa-Press – Eswatini. Ngomyayona Gamedze,the former Senate Deputy President has finally confirmed that he will stand for Parliamentary elections at Siphofaneni.
Gamedze,a brother to former Siphofaneni MP Gundwane Gamedze is expected to face current MP Nomalungelo Simelane known as LaZwide.
“I can confirm that I will stand for elections at Siphofaneni and will use the Parliament platform to advocate for a political dialogue,”said the former long-serving Senate Deputy President.
Previously,Gamedze had been speaking indirectly when asked whether he would contest in the elections or not,however,he finally confirmed on Monday afternoon.
Apart from his popularity and political experience,the former Senate Deputy President might benefit from his brother Gundvwane Gamedze’s legacy,he confirmed that some of his brothers within the area have approached and urged him to stand for the elections.
