Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini’s fastest man Sibusiso ‘Swazi Bolt’ Matsenjwa has started his European competitions on a high note.
This was after he was the winner in one of the 100 metre heats after clocking 10:52 seconds. He beat South Africa’s Bardley Nkoana who clocked 10:66 seconds. Coming third was Paulo Pereira from Portugal who clocked 10:78 seconds. Reached for comments, Matsenjwa said he was happy with his performance. “I was happy with my race’s execution; we are on for the next one during the Morton Games in Dublin, Ireland, next weekend and this will mark my last 100m of the season. I will shift focus to 200m until the World Championships in August,” said Matsenjwa.

He thanked his support systems in Eswatini Government through the Ministry of Sport, Culture and Youth Affairs and National Commissioner (NATCOM) of Police William Dlamini, Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) and Athletics Eswatini (AE) for their undivided support. These competitions will prepare Matsenjwa for the World Championships scheduled for August 23, 2023 in Hungary.
