Africa-Press – Eswatini. A Zion church leader has been accused of unlawfully entering a church member’s flat and negotiating to have sex with her, in exchange for E100.
Sandile Raymond Lukhele (33), who is also reportedly a prophet, has been accused of entering *Nqobile’s house when her husband was away at work, and purportedly requesting to have sexual intercourse with her, inspiring a belief that she shall be sexually violated. This happened at kaLuhleko in Bhunya, on September 28. Lukhele of Mahlangatsha, appeared before Acting Magistrate Thamsanqa Ndlovu, facing a charge of contravening Section 6 of the Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence (SODV) Act of 2018. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Transpired
Narrating what transpired on the day of the alleged incident, Nqobile said she was laying naked in her house when she heard a knock on the door. She said she peeped through the window, only to discover that it was the priest. Nqobile recalled that she asked what he had come for and he said he was borrowing a screwdriver. The complainant mentioned that she immediately told the accused that she could not find it was as she did not know where her husband had put it. To this, she said the accused left.
“Before long, the accused came back and this time around, he stormed into the house without me inviting him in. He approached me and asked that we have sex. This time, he was holding my hand,” narrated the complainant. According to Nqobile, she refused to have sex with him and quickly took a towel, which she wrapped around herself and went out of the house. The accused was remanded out of custody until September 7, for continuation of trial.
