Africa-Press – Eswatini. Inyatsi Group broke the record as the only group of companies to bring a total of nine companies under its banner to exhibit their various trades at this year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) at once.
At the event, the group brought over 100 employees under one roof from their companies, that range from mining, construction, communication, healthcare, insurance to retail.
The companies include Inyatsi Construction, Construction Associates, Infracast, Eswatini Mobile, The Clinic Group, Eswatini Meat Wholesalers, Lidwala, Maloma Colliery and Rubiccon Media.
All these nine companies are housed under one of the Trade Fair’s pavillions that were graced by the presence of His Majesty King Mswati III who openly praised the group of companies for employing a number of Emaswati and also propelling the country towards attaining the much- desired First World Status.
Indeed Inyatsi Group Executive Chairman Michelo Shakantu endorsed the status that the company t employs over 6 000 people, directly and indirectly, relates to the King’s vision of a First World country and also push the country to being an expert driven economy.
“We’re grateful to His Majesty the King for gracing our stand at the Trade Fair and for ensuring the ease of doing business in Eswatini to enable companies to excel in their various sectors. We are hopeful that we will successfully contribute positively to the growth of the Eswatini economy going forward,” said the executive chairman.
Shakantu added that for instance, during the Trade Fair, Eswatini Mobile in working towards improving its connectivity, they made trial runs and their 5G network as the communications company is adding new base stations.
He added that Eswatini Meat Industries, otherwise referred to as Embiveni, has doubled its production and provided better markets for local farmers. He said farmers are now even being empowered through a farmers outreach programme.
“We are now exporting our products to European countries and other international markets,” he added.
Inyatsi Construction Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Derrick Shiba, on the other hand, said apart from the visit by His Majesty to their stand, they were also honoured to have witnessed the visits by Lesotho’s King Letsie III, former Botswana President Ian Khama and that of South Africa’s ex-president Jacob Zuma.
