Africa-Press – Eswatini. Some of the speakers who made submissions have called for former prime minister Cleopas Dlamini to be granted a full term in office.
This they said was because Dlamini had unfinished business.
The former PM was the premier for about three years after he was appointed in 2021 following the passing of the late PM Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini.
Some of the speakers who made their submissions, were of the view that Dlamini’s time in office was productive and called for him to be granted a full term in office.
Musa Dlamini welcomed the call from the His Majesty the King for advice on the new PM. He said his suggestion was for the King to re-appoint the former PM Cleopas in order to ensure continuity in leadership.
“My suggestion Your Majesty is that you re-appoint Cleopas so that as a nation we can maintain continuity in the leadership of government,” he said.
He also pointed out that Dlamini did not have a full term, but the work he had done in moving the country forward was significant. He said Dlamini left his work halfway and had some unfinished business. He also suggested former minister of Commerce Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo for the PM’s position.
Papani Tsabedze advised that the new PM should be someone with integrity, while suggesting that Dlamini had all the required qualities to continue leading the nation forward.
