In a grand display of unwavering loyalty and admiration, His Majesty King Mswati III was presented with contributions (tetfulo) surpassing E5 million in celebration of his 56th birthday last night. The offerings, including cash, cattle, goats, chickens, groceries, blankets, cutting-edge agricultural machinery among others,were presented to the king at the Mandvulo Grand Hall.
Aside from the Queen Mother (Indlovukazi), Emakhosikati and the Cabinet, people from all walks of life presented their tokens of appreciation to the king, showcasing the profound reverence and unity that defines the kingdom’s cultural fabric. Amidst the vibrant atmosphere of celebration,the king graciously accepted offerings ranging from traditional gifts of cattle, cash and groceries to modern innovations and entrepreneurial ventures.

The king paid special attention to the youngest person who made a contribution, four year old Omega Simelane who presented E50, staying patient to listen to her speak despite that she was speaking in a very low tone and was startling. Upon thanking each person for their contribution, His Majesty wished them for more blessings and promised to heed their suggestions on how the contributions should be utilised.
“Thank you, I will definitely make sure that I make myself happy as you have said,” said the king to the four year old Simelane with a warm smile.
As baskets of fresh produce were presented, His Majesty showcased his deep appreciation for the bounty of the land, expressing his fondness for certain fruits and vegetables and acknowledging their vital role in promoting health and well-being.
“I am a big fan of them and know they are good for the heart, so thank you very much,” said the king to Sindi Mamba who presented him with a box of pumpkins. Despite the occasion dragging for over six hours, the king’s focus never wavered from the individuals who stood before him, presenting their heartfelt gifts and well wishes. With genuine warmth and sincerity, His Majesty engaged with each contributor, taking the time to reminisce about past encounters with some and expressing his gratitude for their generosity.

The king also demonstrated a keen interest in fostering economic development, expressing preference for ventures focused on manufacturing over mere distribution. His enthusiastic interactions with entrepreneurs such as Nkayiso Madlala from California, USA, who showcased innovative solutions in solar energy generation, shone light on His Majesty’s commitment to advancing sustainable technologies within the kingdom.
Expressing eagerness to explore avenues forpartnership, the kinghighlighted the importance of leveraging global expertise to drive the country’s economic growth and development when engaging with Oleg Vodchits from Belarus, representing AFtrade, a leading business-to-businesse Commerce platform. Coming to the cheques, leading timber company, Montingy Investments led the pack with a contribution of E1 million, while Inyatsi Group Holdings followed suit with a substantial contribution of E800 000 from its various subsidiaries.
Other companies then followed suit, presenting their cheques and then getting a photo-op, which is where His Majesty displayed his meticulous attention to detail and his innate ability to orchestrate event he smallest aspects of things with grace and precision.
