Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Prince of Wales Sports Ground will come alive on Sunday when it plays host to the Mandla Mahewu Mbabane Regional League grand closing.

Double Action, who are set to be crowned the champions, will play fourth placed Nkwalini United at 2pm under the A Division. They are top of the table with 64 points and are followed by Hurricane with 59 points.

Mandla Mahewu is sponsoring the Mbabane Regional Football League with E70 000 and E15 000 for the juniors being the under-17 and under-15 League. The Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) and Mandla Mahewu officials updated the media today (May 16, 2024) where they disclosed their happiness on the progress of the leagues.

Mandla Mahewu’s Mthunzi Mthethwa said the first 100 supporters to arrive at the Prince of Wales on Sunday would be presented with Mandla Mahewu product. Each fan will be charged E10 entrance fee.

“We are happy with the support we are getting from the football stakeholders. We are also proud that our grand closing games will be played at Prince of Wales and we are expecting people to come in their numbers. We have even put forward the incentive towards the first 100 supporters who will arrive at the venue,” he said.

Mandla Mahewu Country Sales Manager Kim Thring said they would continue to sponsor the league due to the support they were getting. She said football had kept the nation out of danger, as the youth was always engaged by playing football.

HRFA Chairman Comfort Shongwe said the Mandla Mahewu Regional League was bringing oneness and joy to the Mbabane community. He also invited people to come in their numbers to support their teams and Mandla Mahewu as their sponsor.
