Africa-Press – Eswatini. Stratcom Group marked its first anniversary with an exciting official launch event at Mountain View, which also set the stage for the announcement of the AI and Digital Transformation Summit, scheduled to take place in July this year.
The event began with Ntokozo Mngadi, Stratcom’s Chief Operating Officer, acting as Programme Director. In her welcome remarks, Mngadi reflected on the company’s impressive growth over the past year.
“It’s been a year since we started this company, and we have been transforming people’s lives,” Mngadi stated, highlighting Stratcom’s rapid success in digital marketing and AI solutions.
Following her introduction, Stratcom CEO, Sibusiso Mngadi, took the stage for the keynote address.
He offered a candid reflection on the company’s journey, sharing personal challenges and the invaluable lessons learned along the way. “Stratcom was registered in March 2024, and at some point, I almost gave up on the dream. But with the help of my team, we’ve created something incredible,” Mngadi shared.
He also expressed deep gratitude to his daughter, Ntokozo, for stepping in and taking over the company’s operations.
Mngadi also emphasized the importance of partnerships and accountability in business.
“We do not talk enough about AI. It’s time we start more conversations to use it properly and grow meaningfully,” he urged.
He went on to commend the Minister of ICT for her ongoing efforts to ensure AI is used correctly in Eswatini’s media space, underscoring the government’s role in fostering the country’s digital transformation.
One of the major highlights of the event was the introduction of Stratcom’s Agribusiness Media app, developed in collaboration with Kwanele Mdlovu, a talented IT student from Limkokwing University.
Mdlovu expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the project, saying, “This app represents my commitment to using technology to improve lives, particularly for the agribusiness community. I’m excited to see the platform grow and expand across Eswatini and beyond.”
The Agribusiness Media app, designed to provide farmers and stakeholders with reliable access to agricultural news and information, is a key part of Stratcom’s mission to drive digital transformation in Eswatini. The app will bridge the gap between knowledge and action, enabling users to make informed decisions that can enhance productivity and success in the agribusiness sector.
Stratcom also used the occasion to announce its highly anticipated AI and Digital Transformation Summit, scheduled for July 2025. This summit will bring together entrepreneurs, developers, educators, and business leaders from across Africa to explore AI’s potential to solve local challenges, build sustainable enterprises, and prepare for a digital-first economy.
Mngadi emphasized that youth participation is a key focus, noting that those aged 35 and below will be able to register for free. “We expect around 1,000 people to attend this event,” he said, reinforcing Stratcom’s commitment to democratizing access to digital tools and solutions.
Philani Mpandza, Stratcom’s Head of Marketing, also took the stage, thanking the company for the opportunity to be part of its growth. “We are determined to keep growing, and it’s been an honor to be part of Stratcom’s success story,” Mpandza shared.
He expressed his appreciation for Sibusiso Mngadi’s boldness in pursuing his dreams and involving his family in the business. “Nontokozo’s involvement in the business has been transformative, and we owe a lot of our success to the support of the Mngadi family,” Mpandza added.
As the anniversary event concluded, the excitement surrounding Stratcom’s future was palpable. With its focus on AI, digital marketing, and strategic partnerships, the agency is positioning itself as a leader in Eswatini’s digital revolution. The AI and Digital Transformation Summit is just one of many initiatives that will continue to drive Stratcom’s vision for the future.
“We are all about partnerships,” said Mngadi, underscoring the importance of collaboration. “When you partner, you expose yourself, but what’s important is execution. We believe AI can significantly improve productivity and help the economy grow faster. This is only the beginning.”
As Stratcom steps into its second year, the agency is set to continue shaping the future of digital innovation in Eswatini and beyond.
