With over 50 years of combined editorial experience, Imisebe’s team of professionals has consistently aligned its publishing objectives with national priorities by:
– Producing quality, curriculum-aligned educational resources.

Cultural Stewardship: Buganu Festival 2025
As a tribute to His Majesty’s commitment to preserving Swati culture, Imisebe Publishing proudly participated in the 2025 Buganu Festival at Hlane Royal Residence. This culturally significant event celebrates the marula harvest and serves as a symbol of unity and national pride.
The Imisebe Regiment was honored to present gifts to Their Majesties during the festival—a gesture that reflects respect, solidarity, and cultural devotion. Through traditional dance and community engagement, Imisebe reaffirms its role as a custodian of Swati traditions in an ever-evolving world.
Nurturing Language and Identity
In a profound commitment to language preservation, Imisebe Publishing has launched several landmark initiatives to sustain and celebrate the siSwati language, including:
The publication of “Emagugu EmaSwati”, an educational guide to Swati cultural rites such as Umhlanga, Buganu, Butimba, Incwala, and Lusekwane.
The creation of “Umphandza”, a siSwati monolingual dictionary for both primary and high school learners, ensuring language preservation for future generations.
Production of culturally rich siSwati titles like “Asibhale Indzaba”, “Wena Bowungatsini”, and “Lifa”.
These resources are designed to preserve Swati heritage, while inspiring national pride and identity through language and literature.
Pioneering New Ground: The siSwati Spelling Bee
In a historic first, Imisebe hosted the inaugural Sibitelo neMisebe—a national siSwati spelling bee that incorporates technology commenced in 2023. Eight high schools participated in the regional rounds, culminating in a grand finale where Swazi National High School was crowned national champion of 2023. In 2024 Big Bend High School won the competition and early this year Imisebe introduced the Sibitelo NeMisebe comeptition to private or Independent schools where Sifundzani High School claimed the crown. The event serves as a powerful platform to promote linguistic excellence, critical thinking, and cultural pride among young emaSwati.
