Africa-Press – Eswatini. Moses Mashikilisane Fakudze, the Army Commander allegedly asked army King’s cattle overseer Colonel Richard Phahlane Dlamini to assist in registering the R3million cattle under his name saying he received information suggesting that, the King has instructed his intelligence to verify article alleging that, he is owning two hundred(200) cattle as proceeds of bribery”.
The information reached this publication after the Colonel opened-up to some soldiers saying, he was approached by the Army Commander who asked to transfer all the cattle to be under his name.
“Ngivele ngacolisa ngatsi ye-Sir, sofuna kungibophisa manje”, said the Colonel when speaking to some soldiers within the army.
This comes after this publication exposed how the Army Commander allegedly abused his powers to accumulate wealth and subsequently divide the Executive Commander of the Umbutfo Eswatini Defense Force(UEDF) by sidelining senior Commanders in favour of his right-hand man Brigadier General Mthiza Dlamini who was allegedly corruptly promoted from the position of Lieutenant within seven(7) months.
But this week, the Army Commander allegedly met Colonel Richard Phahlane Dlamini to negotiate that, the cattle must at least, be registered under his name, Dlamini refused saying “ufuna kungibophisa” and that was when the Army Commander tried to call some people saying he was selling cattle with ten thousand Rands(R10,000.00) each in an effort to reduce the number of the cows that raised eyebrows.
Reached for comments on Wednesday, Army Spokesperson Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo denied knowledge of the attempt by the Army Commander to register the cattle under Colonel Richard Phahlane Dlamini.
“The Umbutfo Eswatini Defence Force (UEDF) Public Affairs Office, is unaware of the contention subject matter,” she said briefly in a message sent to this journalist.
But on Sunday night, Army Commander Mashikilisane allegedly attempted to move the cattle from Mbutfu Army Barracks, insiders alleged that, he subsequently received information suggesting that, this journalist had ‘planted’ some soldiers to monitor him and take pictures.
The soldiers who alerted this journalist alleged that, Fakudze wanted to move the cattle on Sunday midnight.
