The stabbing allegedly led to severe bleeding, resulting in Fakudze’s death.

During his first appearance, Dube sobbed openly in court and appeared visibly shaken.

The court advised him of his right to legal representation, after which he informed Magistrate Dludlu that he intended to engage a private attorney.

The bail application was supported by his legal team, citing that Dube is not a flight risk, has no prior convictions, and is a well-known public figure due to his role in local football.

The court granted bail under conditions that include surrendering his travel documents, reporting to the nearest police station twice a week, and avoiding contact with witnesses.

The case has stirred emotions within the football fraternity and the local community, with fans expressing both shock and sympathy for the families involved.

Mbabane Highlanders management has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident or Dube’s standing with the club.

The matter has been postponed allowing for further police investigations and the formal commencement of trial proceedings.

As the legal process unfolds, Dube’s future in football remains uncertain, with his next court appearance scheduled for July.
