The national delegation touched down on Sunday evening and has since settled in at the Athletes Village, where they joined hundreds of fellow competitors from across the African continent.
With excitement and determination in the air, the young athletes wasted no time adjusting to their new environment. On Monday morning, Team Eswatini took part in a light training session at the official competition venue. The session was aimed at shaking off the effects of long-distance travel and familiarising themselves with the arena that will host some of the continent’s most promising talent.
The championships, which officially kick off tomorrow, promiseing a high energy display of athleticism, passion, and national pride as Africa’s best young athletes go head-to-head in a variety of disciplines.
Team Eswatini is geared up to represent the nation with pride and discipline, and the Eswatini sporting fraternity is encouraged to rally behind these rising stars as they carry the country’s hopes on an international stage.
