Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini and the Republic of Serbia are set to implement a transformative diplomatic agreement that eliminates visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports.
Effective August 13, 2025, this agreement signals a new era of cooperation, connectivity, and partnership between the two nations.
The agreement, originally signed in 2022, marks a major milestone in Eswatini’s foreign policy and international engagement efforts. Through the mutual visa exemption, officials from both countries can now travel seamlessly, without the burden of visa applications, fostering smoother, more efficient diplomatic and government-to-government interactions.
“This development reflects our shared commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and facilitating official travel,” noted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement released today. “It also paves the way for enhanced cooperation across multiple sectors, including trade, education, and culture.”
The strategic collaboration is expected to not only simplify diplomatic exchanges but also promote greater international cooperation. As a result, both Eswatini and Serbia are poised to benefit from increased engagement and joint development initiatives.
Officials from both countries have reiterated their dedication to building stronger ties and exploring new opportunities for collaboration. As Eswatini continues its forward momentum on the global stage, partnerships like these reinforce its role as a proactive player in shaping a cooperative international community.
