Africa-Press – Eswatini. It’s official—Peter Samora Simelane has been entrusted once again with the leadership of Eswatini football after winning the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) presidential elections.
Simelane secured 27 votes, defeating Mashumi Shongwe who garnered 21 votes, in a tightly contested election that showcased democracy and unity within the football fraternity. His re-election is seen as a vote of confidence in his vision to continue steering the game of football towards growth and professionalism.
Joining him in leadership are the newly elected Vice Presidents: Nkosingphile Shongwe and Steve Horton, who are expected to work hand-in-hand with Simelane to uplift Eswatini football to greater heights.
The football community has expressed optimism that this leadership will focus on development programs, improved infrastructure, and enhanced opportunities for both players and administrators.
With this renewed mandate, Simelane’s presidency marks the beginning of another chapter of hope and progress for the country’s most beloved sport.
