Africa-Press – Eswatini. Six local volleyball owerhouses will be representing Eswatini at the Redskins International Tournament in Lesotho, Maseru which kicks off next week Friday.

The confirmed teams making the trip are Scorpion Volleyball, Ace Angels, Bob Cats, Eco Water, Correctional Sunrise, and Zakhele Volleyball. The tournament is expected to draw strong competition from across the region, providing a perfect platform for teams to measure their strength ahead of bigger stages.

Currently, the squads are in camp, putting in extra hours of training to fine-tune their combinations. Speaking on behalf of the delegation, one official emphasized the importance of the tournament, noting that it will serve as a crucial test run for the upcoming Zone VI Championship.

“This is one tournament we will use to test ourselves to see if we are ready for Zone VI. It’s our first time playing in it, so we’ll see how it goes,” said the official.

For Eswatini, the Redskins International marks not just an international outing but also a valuable learning experience. The players are eager to showcase their talent, gain exposure, and build confidence before facing even tougher regional contests.

The journey to Lesotho reflects the growing commitment within Eswatini volleyball to step beyond borders, challenge themselves against new opponents, and prepare for higher levels of competition.
