Africa-Press – Eswatini. Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has called for collaboration to fight cybercrime in the country describing cybersecurity as a shared responsibility, Government online platforms reported.
The PM was speaking during the launch of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, held under the theme: “Secure Eswatini, Be safe online; Asichumane siphephile.
“This theme is both a reminder and a call to action: in a digital age, our safety, prosperity, and future depend on how we protect ourselves and our nation in the cyberspace.My message today is simple: cybersecurity is a national priority and because it is national security, it is economic security and it is personal security. Let us all commit collaboratively, cooperatively and communally, as Government, business, families, and individual citizens to be responsible and to play our part,” said the PM.
Eswatini Communications Commission(ESCCOM) Prince Mvilawemphi, Information Minister Savannah Maziya and Central Bank of Eswatini(CBE) Governor Dr. Phil Mnisi, Speaker Jabulani ‘Buy Cash’ Mabuza and United Nations Development Program(UNDP) Resident Representative Mr Henrik Franklin were present during the launch.
