Africa-Press – Eswatini. Inkhosikati Queen LaMatsebula has called for the utilization of technology to enhance the quality of education, Government online platforms reported this week.

The King’s senior wife highlighted the capacity of innovation to address disparities in access, quality, and equity between education and Information, Communication and Technology(ICT), she was speaking during the official opening of the 2025 ESWERA DEASA-KEAS-RSTP International Conference held at the University of Eswatini(UNESWA) Auditorium.

“This conference is a significant occasion that not only celebrates the heritage of educational research but also looks toward the future of innovation in Eswatini and across southern Africa. As patron of ESWERA, formerly known as SERA, I take pride in reflecting on the remarkable journey of this association, which was established in the early 1980s as part of the BOLESWA vision. The Government of Eswatini remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing educational priorities on both national and regional levels. The Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) plays a pivotal role in promoting research, digital transformation and innovation. Under its leadership, the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP), established through the 2012 Act of Parliament, stands as a testament to our dedication to science and technology,” she said.
