Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) and the Central Bank of Eswatini (CBE) have entered into a landmark partnership aimed at strengthening institutional collaboration, enhancing security, and safeguarding the integrity of both institutions.
The two entities formalised their cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, November 3, 2025, marking a new era of mutual support in operational efficiency and resource sharing.
National Commissioner of Police, Manoma Vusie Masango, signed on behalf of REPS, while CBE Governor, Dr. Phil Mnisi, represented the bank during the official signing ceremony.
Dr. Mnisi described the MoU as a milestone in fostering synergy between the financial regulator and the country’s law enforcement agency.
“This important MoU seeks to establish a framework for the provision of services by REPS to the Central Bank of Eswatini. Together, we are building a stronger foundation for institutional cooperation.
The bank has also committed to providing additional resources, including a dedicated motor vehicle for officers assigned to our facilities, ensuring they have the logistical support needed to carry out their duties effectively,” he said.
In a gesture of support, the Central Bank donated a Quantum kombi to the police service to bolster mobility and operational capacity.
National Commissioner Masango expressed gratitude to the bank for the meaningful collaboration, noting that it would go a long way in improving REPS’ efficiency and service delivery.
“We appreciate this milestone partnership which strengthens our institutional operations and enhances our ability to serve and protect,” Masango said.
The partnership underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to promoting safety, trust, and national development.
