Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini legend Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina says he wants to produce future Sihlangu stars.

The former Orlando Pirates and Supersport United player said this after being named the best coach for the 2025 Pitso Mosimane development programme on Sunday in Johannesburg.

The annual ceremony was organised by the astute South African mentor, attended by coaches from the nine South African provinces.

Masina oversaw the Mpumalanga division of the programme.

“I am happy with the award, which is a result of the support that I got from the people of Mpumalanga province throughout the year.

I believe we can produce future Sihlangu through the three youngsters who are part of the Mpumalanga program from Eswatini,” he said.

The former KV Mechelen player also thanked Mosimane for including him in the programme.

“I am honoured to be part of this program, which contributes to the development of football in the SADC region,” he said.

Masina played for several teams in South Africa, including the defunct Umtata Bush Bucks.

He once worked with his compatriot, Milton Dlamini, as an assistant coach at a Mpumalanga-based side, Destiny College.

Masina also had stints with hub giants Manzini Wanderers, Matsapha United, and Mbabane Midas City locally.

He boasts of numerous Sihlangu caps.

The Pitso Mosimane development programme operates in 17 schools, and the beneficiaries include Curro Academy Mbombela,

Curro Academy Wilgeheuwel in Roodepoort, Meridian Rustenburg in the Northwest, and Curro Academy Sandown and Meridian Pinehurst in the Western Cape.

The goal is to equip learners with the technical, intellectual, and social skills they need to compete at the highest levels of football.
