PM DECLARES WAR ON CORRUPTION AT LIMKOKWING GRADUATION

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has described corruption as “a national cancer” eating away at Eswatini’s progress and warned that no nation can prosper while corruption thrives.

Speaking at the 2025 Limkokwing University of Creative Technology graduation ceremony at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, the Prime Minister said corruption is one of the most destructive forces threatening His Majesty King Mswati III’s vision of a first-world Eswatini.

“As a country, we continue to witness organised corruption with roots in almost every arm of government,” he cautioned. “These are cancers that threaten to destroy the very foundation of our nation.”

Dlamini urged graduates to become champions of integrity and transparency, emphasizing that the fight against corruption begins with personal discipline and ethical leadership. He called on the young professionals entering the workforce to reject shortcuts and uphold accountability wherever they serve.

The PM said Eswatini’s transformation depends not only on education and innovation but on moral strength and civic responsibility. “We must build a nation where honesty is rewarded, where service is sincere, and where every citizen understands that corruption robs us all,” he said.

In closing, Dlamini expressed confidence that Eswatini’s youth can lead the charge toward a corruption-free future. “Let this generation rise with integrity as its badge of honour,” he urged. “When our young people choose discipline over deceit and service over self-interest, Eswatini will achieve the greatness it deserves.”
