Africa-Press – Eswatini. Vusi Dlamini, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eswatini Tourism Authority says the country is highly expected to welcome more tourists as Incwala ceremony begins.
Speaking on Tuesday when asked to share the statistics, the CEO said the numbers have been increasing after the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Last year we received over 48,000 between 22 and 28 Dec (Incwala period). This seems to be a huge increase compared to pre-COVID where the numbers were around 21 000. So we will be expecting not less than 48 000 for the same period this year,” said the Tourism Authority CEO.
Incwala is an annual ceremony taking place at Ludzidzini Palace and graced by King Mswati.
