Africa-Press – Eswatini. As Eswatini prepares to host the 76th ECSA Health Ministers’ Conference in February 2026, the Minister of Health, Hon. Mduduzi Matsebula, has called on citizens to welcome delegates with the country’s trademark warmth and respect.
The Minister urged members of the public and workers at points of entry to ensure that visitors feel welcomed, respected, and valued during their stay.
“We would like to urge emaSwati, members of the public and workers at our points of entry, to give our visitors a true reflection of the country’s hospitality,” Minister Matsebula said. “We are a nation known for its kindness, respect and humility, so we must give them this experience.”
He added that the goal is to make visitors’ stay so pleasant that they will want to return to Eswatini in the future. “We must make their Eswatini experience so pleasant that we will contribute to boosting tourism by having the visitors want to return on a personal capacity due to the wonderful treatment they will have received,” the Minister said.
The conference, scheduled for 3 to 5 February 2026 at the Happy Valley Hotel, will bring together more than 250 delegates, including ministers, health experts, development partners and representatives from major international health organisations.
As preparations continue, the Minister said Eswatini has a unique opportunity to not only lead discussions on health systems but also to showcase its culture, hospitality and peaceful environment to guests from across the region and beyond.
The Ministry of Health has emphasised that the conference will be a platform for collaboration and learning, while also positioning Eswatini as a welcoming host for regional and international engagements.
