Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO) has assured elderly grant beneficiaries that efforts are underway to restore normal payment services following a temporary disruption affecting those who receive their grants through banks.
In a public notice issued on Friday January 23, 2026 the DPMO confirmed that the Royal Science and Technology Park (RSTP) is working with the office to address technical challenges within the payment system.
The disruption affects banking channels used to process elderly grant payments.
The office stated that the interruption is temporary and that processes are underway to bring the situation back to normal. Beneficiaries will be formally informed once payments resume.
The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office appealed to affected beneficiaries for patience and understanding while the matter is being addressed.
Elderly grant remains a key social protection programme administered through the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, providing vital financial support to senior citizens across the country.
