Africa-Press – Eswatini. In a powerful move to transform creative passion into sustainable livelihoods, ULamgangela Creations has announced an upcoming crocheting picnic designed to empower women of all ages.

This unique event is scheduled to take place at Coronation Park from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, carrying the inspiring theme of a “Circle of Queens and Princesses.” Rather than being a standard skill-sharing workshop, the picnic is envisioned as a supportive sanctuary where women can uplift one another while mastering the intricate craft of crocheting.

The initiative is led by Xolile Hlophe Mazibuko, a visionary from Nhlangano whose personal journey is a testament to resilience and determination. As a self-sponsored student at the University of Eswatini, Mazibuko successfully utilized her business earnings to pay her own tuition fees while balancing the demanding roles of work and parenting.

Having officially founded the business in 2018, she chose a name that serves as a deep tribute to her family heritage, specifically honoring her great-grandmother. What began as a therapeutic hobby to manage stress and anxiety has since blossomed into a flourishing venture that focuses on high-quality, handcrafted house interior decor.

ULamgangela Creations has built a reputation for its wide and diverse range of handcrafted items. The product line includes bespoke interior decor such as custom baskets, cushions, and mats, as well as unique footwear and accessories like morning shoes, slim bags, and meticulously painted grass bags. For younger fans, Mazibuko creates specialized storage bags featuring popular cartoon characters, and she also offers wellness items including scented and herb-infused products.

Under the guiding mantra, “In the absence of a job, create your own future.” “The upcoming session is designed to provide attendees with the practical tools necessary to transform a creative hobby into a profitable business” Mazibuko noted. The registration fee for the picnic and training session is E200, which is used to ensure all necessary materials are provided for the students on-site. The comprehensive curriculum will guide participants through mastering four essential crochet stitches to ensure product quality, as well as sharing professional design secrets for creating rugs, bags, and baskets. Furthermore, Mazibuko will provide training on eco-friendly innovation using recycled T-shirt yarn and offer vital business insights on market readiness and sales strategies.

Mazibuko, who is a veteran of major events like the Makoti Festival, remains deeply committed to sharing her skills to help other women navigate the early challenges of entrepreneurship. While the picnic celebrates female empowerment and sisterhood, the classes remain open to both men and women who wish to learn. Bookings are essential and can be made by contacting 76478979 or 79417690, and the public is encouraged to follow ulamgangela_creations on social media for further updates.
