Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Royal Eswatini Police Service (REPS) has moved swiftly in its investigation of the reported robbery at the EswatiniBank Manzini Branch, identifying a person of interest within 24 hours of the incident.

Police are currently looking for Bongani Mzwandile Arcan Shongwe (39) of Dvokolwako, who they believe may assist with information related to the case. Authorities confirmed that he is a former employee of the bank and are urging members of the public to come forward with any relevant information that could support the investigation.

Earlier, multiple police vehicles, including Scenes of Crime units, were deployed to the Manzini branch after reports of a possible robbery. Officers secured the area while bank staff began arriving and investigators worked to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

The bank also notified customers that the Manzini branch and its ATM services were temporarily unavailable, encouraging the use of digital channels, nearby branches, ATMs, and post office services during the disruption.

Police have appealed for cooperation from the public as investigations continue, emphasizing the importance of community support in ensuring a thorough and efficient resolution to the case.
