Africa-Press – Eswatini. An estimated E1.6 million was taken during a robbery at Eswatini Bank’s Manzini Branch in the early hours of Monday, with the incident reported later that morning as investigations began.
The bank confirmed that the cash was accessed through the branch’s ATMs, while customer accounts and the bank’s vaults remained secure as authorities continue probing the case.
The incident is currently under active investigation by the Royal Eswatini Police Service, with the bank pledging full cooperation to ensure those responsible are brought to justice. Management emphasized that establishing the facts remains a top priority as authorities work to uncover the details surrounding the heist.
