Africa-Press – Eswatini. Montigny Forest has NATCOM donated E50 000 to support the NATCOM Cup 2026, a contribution that will go a long way in ensuring the smooth running of the nationwide tournament aimed at promoting unity, fitness, and teamwork among police officers across Eswatini.
The donation was officially announced during the launch of the second edition of the NATCOM Cup at Matsapha Police Academy, an event presided over by National Commissioner of Police Mr. Manoma Vusie Masango.
The tournament brings together officers from all regions to participate in a series of competitive and wellness-focused sporting activities designed to strengthen camaraderie and build strong working relationships within the police service.
Chairperson of the NATCOM Cup Games, Mr. Shedrack Simelane, expressed gratitude to Montigny Forest for the timely support, stating that the E50 000 contribution will cover essential logistics, equipment, and other operational costs for the tournament.
He noted that such donations are vital in helping organisers maintain high standards and provide a memorable experience for all participating officers.
Speaking at the launch, Commissioner Masango highlighted that the NATCOM Cup goes beyond sport, serving as a platform to encourage discipline, mutual respect, and healthy living among police officers.
He urged participants to balance their professional responsibilities with active involvement in the tournament while upholding the integrity and values of the police service at all times.
Masango also encouraged officers to join a regional 10-kilometre walk promoting fitness and announced plans for a cross-country race scheduled for mid-April, further expanding the tournament’s wellness programme.
The NATCOM Cup continues to grow as a positive and unifying initiative, strengthening teamwork, discipline, and wellness within the police service while fostering lasting friendships among officers nationwide.
Contributions like Montigny Forest’s E50 000 donation demonstrate the critical role of stakeholder support in ensuring the tournament’s ongoing success.
