Africa-Press – Eswatini. Emaswati must remain a nation that walks in humility and in the fear of God if they are to secure lasting peace and prosperity, His Majesty King Mswati III has said.

Addressing church leaders who gathered at the Ngabezweni Royal Residence to bid farewell at the close of the Easter services, the King delivered a powerful message urging spiritual renewal, unity and unwavering faith among the nation.

The farewell gathering, which marked the conclusion of Good Friday and Easter prayer services, brought together pastors from across the country in a moment of reflection and thanksgiving.

In his address, His Majesty emphasised that the strength of Eswatini lies in its people’s devotion to God, urging that humility must remain the foundation of both leadership and daily life.

“A nation that humbles itself before God will be lifted by Him,” said the King. “Emaswati must continue to walk in humility and in the fear of God, for that is where blessings come from.”

He said the successful Easter services were not by human strength, but by God’s grace, noting how even the change in weather symbolised divine love and presence.

“We have witnessed the love of God. From the heat at the beginning to the rain today, it shows His presence among us. As a nation, we must continue to come together and celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ,” he said.

The King urged church leaders to intensify their mission of spreading the Gospel across all corners of the country, stressing that the message of Christ’s death and resurrection must be reflected in the daily lives of believers.

He said challenges such as financial hardships should be seen as tests of faith, reminding the faithful that endurance leads to growth and prosperity.

Drawing from biblical teachings, His Majesty referenced the story of Daniel, encouraging Emaswati to remain steadfast even in difficult situations.

“Those who walk with God do not live in fear. They have courage because they trust in Him,” he said.

He further reminded Emaswati that integrity must guide their actions at all times, even when no one is watching. The King said people should always remember that God sees everything. “Even when you think no one sees you, there is Someone above who sees all that you do,” he said, urging the nation to uphold honesty, humility and righteousness in both public and private life.

The King further highlighted that Eswatini continues to enjoy peace because of the love and unity among its people values that align with God’s will.

He encouraged citizens to make church attendance and worship a consistent part of their lives, noting that a spiritually grounded nation is stronger and more resilient.

“People who live in God do not fear anything. They have strength and courage. Let us continue to care for one another and live in harmony,” he said.

His Majesty also reminded the nation that one day all people will account before God for their actions, urging Emaswati to live righteously and treat others with respect and humility.

The King concluded by thanking church leaders for their prayers and dedication, and wished them a safe journey as they returned to their respective communities.

Before proceeding to the marquee, His Majesty inspected tetfulo presented by Emaswati, including offerings from Pastor Moses Warren, Stanley Lukhele, Susan Mkhabela, Madayisi Dacosta and others.

Speaking on behalf of the clergy, Prince Simelane expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended by Their Majesties during the Easter period, describing it as a true reflection of unity, love and faith.

He further uplifted the gathering with a powerful worship moment, leading the song “Ivukile Ingwenyama walayeka Sathane,” which resonated deeply with congregants and marked a fitting spiritual conclusion to the national Easter services.
