Africa-Press – Eswatini. Government Communication Officers have stepped forward as key drivers of Eswatini’s evolving national narrative following a strategic engagement with Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini at the Private and Cabinet Office.
The meeting highlighted a renewed and energised approach to public communication, one that places people, progress, and innovation at the centre of how Government shares its story.
At the heart of the discussions was a shared vision to amplify impactful, human-centred stories that reflect how Government programmes are transforming lives across the country. Communication Officers were encouraged to move beyond routine reporting and actively showcase real change happening in communities.
The PM acknowledged the cadre’s growing influence in shaping both national pride and international perception, noting encouraging progress in how Eswatini is increasingly viewed on the global stage. This, he said, is a direct result of consistent efforts to project a balanced and forward-looking national image.
The engagement also opened a new chapter on innovation, with a strong focus on embracing Artificial Intelligence and digital tools to enhance storytelling, improve efficiency, and expand audience reach. Communication Officers were urged to position themselves at the forefront of this transformation, using technology to tell richer, more engaging stories.
Equally, the importance of credibility remained central. The PM emphasised that as information flows rapidly in the digital age, Government communicators must stand out as trusted voices, delivering accurate, timely, and reliable information.
The session further reinforced collaboration and alignment across Government, with Communication Officers encouraged to work as a unified force in delivering clear and consistent messaging.
In a strong show of support, the PM reaffirmed his commitment to empowering the communications cadre with the tools, skills, and environment needed to thrive.
The meeting signals a bold shift towards a more dynamic, people-focused communication approach, one that not only informs but inspires, connects, and positions Eswatini as a nation on a positive trajectory.
