Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) is actively driving the international growth of local beauty manufacturer LUNA Hair + Body, positioning the brand as a competitive player in global markets.
Through targeted market access support, export readiness training and international trade facilitation, EIPA has enabled LUNA Hair + Body to transition from a locally rooted enterprise into an emerging export-ready brand. The intervention has strengthened the company’s market positioning, expanded its regional footprint and built the confidence required to compete beyond Eswatini’s borders.
EIPA confirmed that its strategic support focuses on equipping local businesses with the technical expertise and market intelligence needed to access international opportunities. This includes guidance on product standards, branding, packaging and compliance with export requirements.
LUNA Hair + Body, founded in Eswatini, has steadily grown its presence in the beauty industry by producing high-quality hair and skincare products tailored to African consumers. “We decided to open this business on the vision of representation and scientific relevance. We wanted to formulate products tailored to African skin, hair and climate, bridging a long-standing gap in a market dominated by imports,” said Seria Msilela, co-founder of LUNA Hair + Body. With EIPA’s backing, the company has now gained exposure to regional markets and is preparing for broader international engagement.
The Authority emphasised that empowering local enterprises like LUNA aligns with national efforts to boost exports, stimulate economic growth and create sustainable employment. By strengthening small and medium enterprises, EIPA continues to play a pivotal role in diversifying Eswatini’s economy.
Company representatives expressed confidence in their growth trajectory, noting that the support received has significantly enhanced their operational capacity and market readiness. They highlighted that access to international platforms has opened new avenues for business expansion and brand recognition.
EIPA reiterated its commitment to supporting more local businesses in scaling up operations and entering export markets. The Authority urged entrepreneurs to take advantage of available programmes designed to unlock growth and competitiveness.
As LUNA Hair + Body advances its export journey, the collaboration stands as a clear example of how strategic partnerships can elevate local brands to international standards, reinforcing Eswatini’s position in the global marketplace.
