Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office has provided school uniforms to four vulnerable children from Luve and Hlane, strengthening efforts to ensure every child attends school with dignity and confidence.
The beneficiaries were identified through the Asibambisane Sibe Ngumndeni programme, a government initiative focused on family reunification and addressing household challenges affecting children. The programme continues to play a vital role in connecting vulnerable families with essential support.
Officials from the DPM’s Office handed over the uniforms, bringing relief to the children and their families. The support enables the learners to attend school comfortably and confidently, on equal footing with their peers.
Programme Director Sibusisekile Gamedze said the initiative is designed to restore dignity and promote inclusivity among children across the country. She emphasised the importance of ensuring that every child has access to basic necessities that support their growth and education.
Families of the beneficiaries expressed sincere appreciation for the timely assistance, noting the positive impact it will have on the children’s lives.
“We are very grateful for the support. These uniforms mean a lot because we could not afford them. Now the children can go to school feeling confident like any other child,” one family member shared.
The donation has renewed hope for the young learners, empowering them to focus on their education with pride. It also reflects the government’s continued commitment to uplifting communities through targeted, people-centred programmes.
As the Asibambisane Sibe Ngumndeni programme expands, more children are expected to benefit from initiatives that promote inclusion, dignity, and equal access to education.
