Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) will host yet another online exhibition and webinar targeting the education sector.

The online event, which is called the Edu-Business Expo, is expected to bring together tertiary institutions, government stakeholders and both local and international organisations who either facilitate or provide scholarship awards to school leavers and masters applicants.

The webinar will be held on July 21 via Zoom, while exhibitors will have their products displayed on buyeswatini.com from July 21 to August 30. Manager of Domestic Trade at EIPA Siphesihle Nkhabindze said education was a critical by-product of the economy.

“In order for us to build a business environment that is ready to compete globally, we need to continue paying attention to the educational opportunities that are made available to the population who are either currently or are preparing themselves to participate in the economy,” he said.

Investors

The manager said one of Eswatini’s selling points to investors and traders around the globe was the educated workforce.

He said this would set the country apart as a destination of choice for business transactions and gives it an edge moving into the future.

The webinar will run from 9am to 1130am and according to EIPA each speaker will be given time to share what they have to offer in order to give the attendees a view of their academic services and products.

According to Nkhabindze, the institutions that will be given time to share their courses and other marketing information will be those that are premium partners.

It was mentioned that the exhibition will give all participants a chance to have their offerings on display to those who enter the online exhibition hall.

EIPA indicated that those who are interested in viewing the content can visit buyeswatini.com/exhibition. Nkhabindze indicated that the content was aimed at those with an interest in furthering their education from the tertiary perspective and were interested in gaining access to opportunities and information.

launched

“The Edu-Business Expo 2022 forms part of the Eswatini Virtual Trade Fair, which was launched to ensure the continuation of trade efforts despite COVID-19 restrictions on both travel and local business practices.

“The exhibition hall offers exhibitors the benefit of a virtual 3D exhibition booth, file uploads and downloads, as well as product demos through slide shows, videos and pictures of all exhibited products,” Nkhabindze stated.

He added that the exhibition also offered companies benefits such as 24/7 access to the exhibition space regardless of location across the globe, with no setup costs for exhibition spaces.

He explained that during times when there are no live exhibitions on BuyEswatini.com, the virtual platform continues to operate as a permanent online shopping mall for goods and services offered by traders from all over Eswatini.

Exposure

“In looking at providing exposure to the opportunities for self-development through education, we should not ignore the power that education holds for entrepreneurs.

“We need to develop our potential, young and current entrepreneurs in the country because they are the ones who will generate further activity in the business arena and ultimately create employment for Emaswati.

“Educating yourself is not just about gaining employment, but it is about allowing each person an opportunity to unlock their own personal ambitions by getting access to the necessary skills they require,” Nkhabindze concluded.

Those interested in attending the webinar can do so on Zoom using the ID 883 1930 0888 and the passcode Edu-Bus. Any queries can be sent to [email protected].
