Africa-Press – Eswatini. QUICKSILVER striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa’s goal against Mauritius on Wednesday levelled him with some of the best players in the region in as far as the all-time COSAFA Cup scorers are concerned.
The Mbabane Highlanders striker is now level on six goals with players like Deon Hotto (Namibia), Gabadinho Mhango and Justine Shonga, who are both Malawian, among others. Lanky Mbabane Swallows attacker Felix Badenhorst is the COSAFA Cup all-time leading scorer with nine goals.
‘Sikhali’ has his eyes glued on Badenhorst’s record. Badenhorst eclipsed Zimbabwean great Peter Ndlovu’s 17-year-old record of eight goals in 2019.
“The bigger goal is to win the COSAFA Cup and my wish is to score as many goals to move up the table. The future looks bright as long as I continue to work hard,” the gangling forward said,” ahead of Sihlangu’s clash against Malawi this afternoon. He said the ambition has not changed heading to the Malawi game as they want to bag three more points.
