Africa-Press – Eswatini. Over 163 residents of Ezulwini benefited from food parcels donated by the Republic of China (Taiwan) Embassy and OK foods.
The parcels were presented to the residents shortly after the Ezulwini Umphakatsi quarterly prayer held on Sunday.
Making his remarks after the service, Attorney General Sifiso Mashampu Khumalo said they have seen the impact of these prayers as the number of attendees grows each year.
He mentioned that the prayers were held four times a year, adding that they strengthened community ties in that all churches from the communities gather to worship together.
Condemned
Khumalo said the people of Ezulwini should not worry because they have God on their side.
“If God is with us then who can be against us?” he said.
The chief also condemned the violence and arson attacks that have ravaged the country. Community police from all seven communities were in attendance to ensure that the rightful people received the food parcels.
Beneficiaries
According to one of the community police, the beneficiaries were chosen by health care givers (bagcugcuteli).
The food parcels included sugar, mealie meal, rice, cooking oil, sugar beans and bread.
The communities that benefited were Nshakabili, Mvutjini, Buka, Somnjalose, Nyonyane, Gelekegceni and Longalaza.
