Africa-Press – Eswatini. African Carnival Eswatini in conjunction with African Tourism Board will be bringing legends who include household names in football from across Africa.

The African Carnival Eswatini is presently going around the country staging promotional shows for the event, which will be held for the first time in the country and it will promote tourism in the kingdom.

On Saturday, the promotion was held in Nhlangano at the entrance of Pick n Pay, an event that drew a huge crowd as there was entertainment such as music where some of the customers were seen taking to the stage showcasing some of their unpolished dancing skills.

Nokulunga Sibanyoni from African Carnival Eswatini said they were already geared up for the event.

Tickets cost only E5, where the first 10 winners stand a chance to dine with some of the respected soccer legends from all over Africa on September 3 at Mantenga Lodge.

“We are bringing well-known retired soccer players from countries such as South Africa, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Ghana as well as Zambia among other countries.

The likes of Teko Modise and Aaron Mokoena from SA, Chris Katongo from Zambia and Esrom Nyandoro from Zimbabwe are some of the big names we are bringing,” said Sibanyoni.

Others include Asamoah Gyan from Ghana, William Okpara from Nigeria and Robert Nauseb from Namibia.

“Lloyd ‘Magic Feet’ Maziya, Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina, Siza ‘King Pele’ Dlamini, Sibusiso ‘Spoko’ Dlamini and John ‘Shisa Junior’ Mdluli are some of the Eswatini legends who will be part of the greats we are bringing on September 3,” said Sibanyoni.

There will be a raffle draw on July 29 and August 26 where 10 winners will have the rare opportunity to have a fully paid VIP lunch with the African soccer legends.

“The E5 tickets are sold at the promotional shows we are staging around the country and winners will have lunch with these greatest names who are still respected in football,” said Sibanyoni. Saturday’s promotion was the third one and it was stated that more will be held around the country as a way of marketing the event.
