Africa-Press – Eswatini. SAXOPHONIST Zwile Bhembe of Platinum Concepts has officially released an Extended Play (EP) dubbed ‘After the Rain.’

The EP is packed with three songs, ‘After the Rain’, ‘Khushu’ and ‘Tini Groove’.

This was confirmed by Platinum Concepts founder Khulekani ‘Karly B’ Mamba yesterday.

Mamba said the first song dubbed ‘After The Rain’ was about hope. “This a message of hope for better days coming, a promise that though we may endure the worst of experiences today, the sun will shine again and our hope will be restored,” he said.

He went on to share that the song was complimented by yet another musical piece, being an old playful riddle titled ‘Khushu’.

“This song takes us back to the good old days where we would derive happiness from reciting such. The song is proving to be a favourite to many already as it has been sampled in a number of events Zwile has performed in,” he added.

Mamba said the last track titled ‘Tini Groove’ was an African jazz rendition, with amazing musicality as it highlights the many instruments. He shared their excitement and thanked the team for the amazing project.

“We are really excited to be sharing this amazing work with the world. We have been working on it for a while and we are amazed by the final product.

“Words alone are not enough to appreciate the amazing musicians who contributed in the creation of this master piece,” he added. Mamba revealed that the EP featured a talented band, inclusive of Phumla Dlamini who was on bass, Mayenziwe Mayeem Dlamini on keys, Mayibongwe Ma-b Nxumalo on drums, Joseph Alexander on guitar, Sanele Simelane on percussion and Samantha Rudd who brought a touch of her angelic vocals.

The three track project is available on all digital stores.

The award winning artist also assured music lovers songs will soothe their souls. “I am so happy to have this project out, it is more than the melodies, harmonies and rhythms. My music is all about my emotions, mind, how I think and feel,” he said. Bhembe will perform live at the Festival Xplosion on Saturday.
