Africa-Press – Eswatini. Peter Bhembe, the former Minister of Natural Resources and Energy who was previously working as the Managing Director of the Eswatini Water Services Corporation(EWSC) allegedly saved the job of the then Public Relations Officer(PRO) Nomahlubi Matiwane.
Information suggests that, Matiwane who now holds the position of Director Corporate Services, was allegedly impregnated by a far junior employee within the Maintenance Department and after realizing that, she was pregnant, she rushed to the MD to confess that she violated the company’s sexual harassment policies by having sex with a staff member and asked to resign.
But the late Managing Director allegedly advised Matiwane not to resign saying “no one will know the father of the child” and as a result, the matter became a top secret between Matiwane and the late Managing Director until other employees gained access to the information years later.
Matiwane allegedly abused her Management powers when having sex with the junior employee and after falling pregnant, she rushed to confess to the Managing Director.
Matiwane declined to comment about the matter, she was later promoted by the current Managing Director Jabulile Mashwama.
Peter Bhembe died while serving as the Minister of Natural Resources and Energy having been appointed by King Mswati.
