Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Sive Siyinqaba National Movement has urged police officers not to listen to King Mswati\u2019s \u2018eye for an eye\u2019 controversial statement that promotes a civil war.

\nIn a public statement sent on Sunday, former Senate Deputy President Ngomyayona Gamedze accused King Mswati of setting Swazis-up against each other for his continued stay in power.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe,at Sive Siyinqaba, would like to make a passionate appeal to our fellow countrymen and women of the security forces, especially the Police, not to heed the King\u2019s command because, it is not only wrong but it is also against the Christian values, and it\u2019s inconceivable that he is setting up the Swazis against each other,just for his continued stay in power,\u201d reads the statement in part.<\/p>\n

On Friday, when addressing police officers during the Police Day, Mswati urged police officers to meet \u201ceye for an eye\u201d when dealing with what he described as insurgents, dozens have been killed by Mswati\u2019s forces since the political unrest began.<\/p>\n
