Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>GRAMMY-award winning singer Manana\u2019s first solo show at home was definitely worth the wait for RnB lovers as he left them still screaming for more after his two hour performance.<\/b><\/p>\n

The singer, real name Ndumiso Manana performed at the Theatre Club for the Eswatini leg of his \u2018RnB and Sweats\u2019 Tour Saturday evening and proved why he held one of the most respectable accolades in the music industry.<\/p>\n

This was his first one man show in the country and only his second performance following his debut at this year\u2019s Bushfire Festival.<\/p>\n

Albeit the fact that the tour is themed around his new Extended Playlist (EP) titled \u2018But could be the moments in between\u2019, he pretty much performed his entire discography, including songs from his first EP titled \u2018In the beginning was the end\u2019.<\/p>\n

After a half an hour delay, Mo Soul Media\u2019s Ndumiso Dlamini simply announced \u2018Manana is home\u2019 and received a huge ovation from the crowd.<\/p>\n

The man of the moment then stepped up, dressed to theme of the event in his khakhi sweats, an unbuttoned oversized shirt and white sneakers and got straight to business.<\/p>\n

He only said \u2018it feels good to be home Eswatini\u2019 and then broke into song, opening up with \u2018Euphoria\u2019.<\/p>\n

The crowd instantly went bananas, and sang along to each and every song that followed.<\/p>\n

The show had two sessions and to introduce the second session, he also showed his exploits in playing the piano as well and rendered a song originally dedicated to his wife, titled \u2018\u2018I can\u2019t believe I get to call you mine\u2019, which was the opener for the more emotional songs, before he finished off with the upbeat jams.<\/p>\n

As he neared the end of his set, he kept on reminding the crowd that he was winding down, but they did not want to hear any of it.<\/p>\n

After his last song, they screamed encore and he responded positively and performed the last song of the latest EP, \u2018Patience\u2019 and shared how it got him through times.<\/p>\n

Ironically, on the very song, he mentions dreams of inviting his parents to his shows and Saturday proved to be a dream come true moment, as his parents were part of the crowd.<\/p>\n

His wife Vuyi was also in the crowd as he performed songs such as \u2018Pulchritudinous\u2019, \u2018Summervibe\u2019, \u2018Mina nawe\u2019, \u2018Call me\u2019, \u2018Dance therapy\u2019 and \u2018Distance\u2019 among others.<\/p>\n

This was the third stop of the tour after Johannesburg and Cape Town legs. The next stop is Pretoria in a fortnight and he is also expected to announce European dates soon. He is a Grammy Award by virtue of being a credited songwriter in Afrobeats star Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ album, which won a Grammy for Best Global Music Album.<\/p>\n
