Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>A woman was almost killed by a police officer merely for wearing a t-shirt belonging to the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO).<\/b><\/p>\n

The incident happened in Manzini on Friday and the police officer is said to have produced a gun and asked the woman if she was ready to die for wearing a t-shirt belonging to a political organization.<\/p>\n

Other details of the incident cannot be revealed for now as the matter is a subject of an investigation by this Swaziland News and the identity of the officer will be revealed in due course.<\/p>\n

Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments, Siphetfo Dlamini, the Secretary General of the Swaziland Liberation Movement(SWALIMO) confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can confirm that the matter you are asking me about it\u2019s true, it happened,\u201dsaid the SWALIMO Secretary General.<\/p>\n

Citizens in eSwatini are tortured, arrested and killed merely for wearing t-shirts belonging to their political organizations.<\/p>\n

Political parties are banned in eSwatini and King Mswati rules the country as an absolute Monarch.<\/p>\n
