Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Wandile Dludlu, the Secretary General of the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement has launched a project to renovate the house of Mkhulu Mkhetheni Nkambule of Dlangeni under Chief Nsukumbili.<\/b><\/p>\n

The project was funded to the tune of ten thousand Rands(R10,000.00) by Swazis who are members of Zweli Martin Dlamini Fans Club on Facebook.<\/p>\n

Dludlu was among youth members from Msunduza who were present during the official launch of the project.<\/p>\n

Mkhulu Nkambule is popular within the area as a senior citizen who hardly miss funerals to mourn with other residents.<\/p>\n

Two Swazi businessmen who are members of the editor\u2019s Fans Club donated six thousand Rands (R6,000.00) including a grant of R350.00 per month for Mkhulu for a period not exceeding twelve(12)months.<\/p>\n

Reached for comments on Saturday afternoon,Madzabudzabu Kunene, the Chairperson of the Swaziland Massacre Victims and Survivors Association(SWAVISA) confirmed the commencement of the project, Kunene was mandated to oversee the renovation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can confirm that the project commenced today(Saturday) and the renovation has started,\u201d said the SWAVISA Chairperson.<\/p>\n

Mkhulu Mkhetheni Nkambule impressed the editor after watching his video where he was singing at a funeral leading a song titled \u201cSimoni ka-Jona uyangithanda na?\u201d<\/p>\n

The editor posted the video on his Fans Club Page and raised about R10,000.00 in one day, the page is followed by close to 200 000 Facebook followers.<\/p>\n

When approached for the handover of the donations, Mkhulu Nkambule asked that the money be used to renovate his two-room house which he built and later abandoned it due to financial challenges.<\/p>\n

\u201cNimane ningilungisele lendlu yami, ngimane ngife nami sengati kutsi nali likhaya lami(meaning: If you can renovate my house so that I can die having a home)\u201d, said Mkhulu Nkambule.<\/p>\n
