Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is pleased with the Southern African Development Community\u2019s recorded progress on issues in Eswatini.<\/b><\/p>\n

This is according to statement from the South Africa President\u2019s office released upon completion of the 42nd Ordinary Summit of the SADC which was held in Kinshasa, DRC.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe President said he was happy with SADC\u2019s setting up of a fact-finding mission in Eswatini and on its decision to send a panel of elders to go and find effective ways to deal with the situation,\u201d reads an extract of the statement from the SA presidency office.<\/p>\n

Other issues Ramaphosa touched on was the reform process in the Lesotho, the conflict in Mozambique, the setting up of the SADC logistics Centre and the anti-terrorism Centre.<\/p>\n

President Ramaphosa said SADC was also pleased with progress made in pushing back the insurgents in the Cabo Delgado area of the Republic of Mozambique and that SADC reaffirmed its \u201ctotal commitment to supporting the people of Mozambique\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pleasing thing was that the people who had fled the various areas in Cabo Delgado are now returning to their homes, with increased confidence that SADC has been helping them to bring about peace,\u201d said Ramaphosa.<\/p>\n
