Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade has urged Enactus Eswatini stakeholders to take advantage of the facilities that government has put in place for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) startup, growth and establishment.<\/b><\/p>\n

This was mentioned by Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade Principal Secretary (PS) Siboniso Nkambule during the Enactus national competition award ceremony at Esibayeni Lodge.<\/p>\n

Supporting<\/p>\n

Nkambule said the fact that Enactus had started supporting the teams to scale up production of the project for optimal impact. job creation among the youth was a key priority in their ministry. \u201cI would like to commend the Enactus Board, staff and the various sponsors for such a fruitful collaboration. The progress achieved through the project testifies of the effectiveness of such collaboration as they say \u2018many hands make the load lighter\u2019,\u201d he said. The PS also added that they expected more from the Enactus Programme in the coming period given the fact that the government was in the process of implementing the economic recovery road map. Enactus Chairman Fikile Nkosi alluded that the Enactus teams demonstrated high level of resilience which showed that the challenges they battled with could not deter them from pursuing the impact that their projects seeked to achieve in the different communities.<\/p>\n

Pressure<\/b><\/p>\n

Nkosi said some of the teams could not stand the pressure that came with the phase and their projects stagnated. \u201cLet me be quick to say that I have seen those teams picking themselves up and going back to the drawing board in order to continue from where they left off pushing their projects forward,\u201d she said. Nkosi added that Enactus Programme operates within three pillars namely; talent and business acumen development action,business accelerator action and the community start-up action. She said all these efforts had significantly enabled progress and contributed to the government\u2019s economic recovery road map as well as to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Enactus Eswatini Country Director Wonderboy Khumalo also mentioned that their main focus was on the positive power of business, entrepreneurial action and social innovation to address the most important issues affecting the world.<\/p>\n

Khumalo said the forum shared real progress in key areas which aligned with the framework of the 17 SDGs. \u201cThe energy created when national business leaders and influencers intersect with student innovators will fuel our experience, motivate personal change and drive new ideas,\u201d he said. The CD added that they believed that competition encourages creativity and rewarded results.<\/p>\n
