Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Mzwaa is working on new music.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Antidote Music\u2019s Mzwaa has revealed that he would be releasing new music this year and it would be mostly Siswati songs. He said he wanted to release a few songs last year but there were a number of factors that prevented him from doing so. He said Siswati was a beautiful language when it comes to music. He said he would be creating a better ridge for music this year and the aim was to cross the border and get the music out there.<\/p>\n

Mzwaa \u2018s love for music was inspired by his parents who are avid lovers and collectors of music. His father exposed him to jazz music, while his mother the rhythm and blues from the Motown era.<\/p>\n

The Manzini-based artist first burst onto the scene after winning the 2018 MTN Bushfire Firefly competition and went on to perform at the MTN Bushfire Festival. Mzwaa made a game-changing impression with the release of his eclectic and fresh RnB\/soul infused anthem, \u2018I Got It\u2019, released in October that year.<\/p>\n

In 2019, Mzwaa finally released his highly anticipated debut EP titled \u2018Right On Time\u2019. A cocktail, of RnB, soul and hip-hop woven together by stories of tribulation, triumph, love and aspiration told through the words of an optimistic Swazi youth. The EP features Swazi songbird Velemseni as well as rapper Young Grixxly.<\/p>\n

His debut EP earned him two nominations at the 2019 MTN SWAMA Awards under the Best Newcomer of the Year\u2019 and Best Collaboration categories. Mzwaa went home with Best Collaboration for \u2018Lutsandvo\u2019 featuring Velemseni.<\/p>\n
