These were the sentiments of Sakhile \\’Awviva\\’ Nxumalo, the President of the People\u2019s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) Youth League, the Swaziland Youth Congress(SWAYOCO).<\/p>\n

Addressing Hosea residents on Tuesday, the vibrant young political leader said the Senate was dominated by Mswati\u2019s appointees adding that even if the House of Assembly could take a decision, it could be overruled by the Senate being the upper House.<\/p>\n

\u201cSenate is dominated by King\u2019s appointees, so even if the House of Assembly could take a decision, it could be overruled by Senate. But above that, even if the entire Legislators could take a decision, the King could sit with the Attorney General(AG) and overrule Parliament after receiving legal advice. That House is not for us Yindlu Yaba-YeSkhulu,\u201dsaid SWAYOCO President.<\/p>\n

Nxumalo was speaking in an event where Hosea residents had gathered to feast on meat after Sicelo Mngomezulu, the lawyer representing incarcerated pro-democracy Members of Parliament(MPs) donated a bull to young girls who were not to able to attend the Umhlanga ceremony.<\/p>\n
