Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Jabulani Mabuza, the Acting Minister of Natural Resources and Energy has announced that Government is committed in providing continued funding of R3.5million to enhance water management.<\/b><\/p>\n

Government online platforms reported this week that Eswatini and Netherlands have renewed their partnership and collaboration under the Netherlands Blue Deal All Hands on Deck programme.<\/p>\n

According to the report,Phase II of the project will run from 2023-2030 and focus on strengthening the Joint River Basin Authority-Project Board (JRBA\u2013PB).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Government of Eswatini is committed to providing continued seed funding to the value of E3.5 million until at least year 2026. The Government also commits to avail the staff to execute the project until the Joint River Basin Authority-Project Board has adequate resources to hire its own staff,\u201d said the Acting Minister as quoted by Government online platforms.<\/p>\n

The Minister was speaking during an event held at Hilton Hotel in the capital city, Mbabane.<\/p>\n

On another note, Nettie Aarnink, the Vice-Chairperson of the Dutch Water Authority Vechtstromen Executive Board said as Dutch water authorities they were happy to contribute to the development of decentralised water management in Eswatini.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we are also happy that the mutual relationships are good,\u201dshe said.<\/p>\n
