Africa-Press – Eswatini. <\/strong><\/span>Life is about to change for Eswatini youth as they are set to receive life changing coding lessons brought to them by a fully qualified technician.<\/b><\/p>\n

The technician, Thubelihle Mamba is the brains behind the Bukisa App. Mamba has invited people interested in learning coding to a free workshop that will run for three consecutive weekends, starting on Saturday until October 1.<\/p>\n

Mamba, who is the founder of CodEswatini, said tech was close to his heart and it was the easiest way to help the youth of Eswatini get more out of their lives. \u201cThis event is meant to induct Emaswati into the world of software development, giving them a chance to acquire life-changing skills.<\/p>\n

The demand for software engineers in the world has grown by 25 per cent more than any industry,\u201d he said. In addition he said learning software development would give the ordinary Liswati equal opportunities on a global scale to increase their income.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe decision to establish CodEswatini was informed and inspired by my desire to see Eswatini as one of the tech hubs in the SADC region,\u201d he said. Mamba said after seeing the country’s state and economic crisis, he felt the need to work with the youth as there was a huge demand for skilled tech workers in the global market, from software developers to software test analysts and UX or UI designers.<\/p>\n

\u201c Given this realistic opportunity, Eswatini youth can and will acquire these skills from CodEswatini that will enable them to source opportunities within and outside the country, either through building world-class technology solutions or enabling outside companies to invest in and hire these highly trained young people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said the workshop would be held at UNESWA Kwaluseni campus and would afford attendants the chance to learn about flutter. \u201cFlutter is the most highly used technology for building mobile applications used by some of the world’s leading companies such as Google. It enables developers to build robust and beautiful mobile applications for both iOS and Android devices,\u201d said Mamba.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that once the students have learnt this, they would be prompted to develop their own App and showcase their skills. In conclusion Mamba urged people to attend the workshop.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a weekend workshop that will happen for three consecutive Saturdays from Saturday to October 1 at UNESWA, Kwaluseni starting at 10:30 am till 12:30 pm. Those interested in attending can register at https:\/\/forms.gle\/nGZ8MWvXarqhmXr68 ,\u201d he said. Attendants must have a laptop.<\/p>\n
